Memo Boards

I found a bulletin board and white erase board at the local thrift store for super cheap and decided to jazz them up a bit.  I've been on the lookout for frames that had enough depth to hold the thick boards.  I finally found a couple.

I removed the lovely pictures from the frames.

Gave the frames a couple coats of black spray paint.

Then I removed the plastic edging from the boards.

Measured and cut boards to frame size.

Once dry, I placed the boards inside of frames and secured them in place with the tacks.

And the finished product...

Now I just need to find a place to hang them!
Here's another one that my dad helped me make years ago.  It's in the laundry room right now but used to hang on the refrigerator since we added magnets to the back.

What a great idea! Just the other day I was in Target (of course) and saw a modular office board system with different components, like bulletin and whiteboards, etc. I wanted it, but didn't want to fork out the money...now you've shown me a great way to do it for less! Thanks, too, for visiting my blog.

I love this idea of yours! I'm trying to come up with a way to improve on the "calendar on the fridge" It's so ugly!

I like both the dry erase board and the cork board...I love spray painting too!

If you have any other ideas on how to organize a family of 5's schedule, let me know!!

I'm not sure how I missed seeing these last week, but they are very cute Emily! I love reusing old frames for new things or just painting them all one color to make a wall of pictures.

Hope you have a great weekend!
